Hard-water spotting, chalky gelcoat, algae stains along the waterline, and a season of sun at six thousand feet. Boats and jet skis — we detail both. Heber and Midway down through Salt Lake and Utah Counties. We fix the damage most washes just smear around.
Utah's mineral content is among the worst anywhere. Splashes dry, calcium stays, and given a season it etches down into the gelcoat where washing can't reach it.
UV climbs roughly 10–12% per 1,000 meters of elevation. Jordanelle sits at 6,100 ft. Gelcoat goes flat and chalky here years faster than at sea level.
Algae, mineral scum, and that brown band along the hull that no amount of soap touches. It needs an acid-safe process, not more scrubbing.
Your boat lives on a trailer. Every trip up Provo Canyon or out to Powell coats the bow in bug strike, sand, and highway grime.
Detailing is priced by the foot, so you can work out your own boat before you call. Jet skis are the same work at a small-boat price — wash, wax, water spots — and we can pick them up from your house when the schedule allows. If the gelcoat is oxidized or etched, that's correction work — different job, quoted in person.

The prices above don't include hard-water spot removal. If your hull has mineral spotting that needs cutting out, that's up to $10/ft on top depending on how badly it's etched — so up to $220 on a 22-footer.
We'd rather flag it here than surprise you on site. Ask us and we'll tell you before you book whether your boat needs it.
Priced by the foot, so you can work out your own boat before you call. Not sure whether you need light or heavy oxidation removal? Ask us — we'll tell you honestly, and it's often less than people expect.
Send us the make, model, and length and we'll confirm your number. For oxidation removal and ceramic, photos help — there's no honest way to price those sight unseen.
A detail makes your boat look right today. Ceramic keeps it that way through the season and beyond. We use CCi (Ceramic Coating Inc.) — a professional coating, not a marine-only formula and not a consumer spray. Same product on boats, cars, and RVs, applied over corrected gelcoat.
Which tells you something about Utah water, actually. The identical product holds two to three years on a car and 12–18 months on a boat left unmaintained. Nothing changed but the environment.
| Boat length | 18 ft | 22 ft | 26 ft | 30 ft |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CCi Ceramic Coating Full exterior. Applied after correction |
$1,530 | $1,870 | $2,210 | $2,550 |
That's the honest number on a Utah boat with no maintenance, whatever the bottle claims. An annual rejuvenation extends it well past that — see below.
Minerals and algae can't bond the way they do to bare gelcoat. On Utah water that's most of the day-to-day battle, and washing drops to minutes.
Coating over oxidation seals it in. If the gelcoat needs cutting, we do that first — see the oxidation pricing above — then seal it.
Ceramic doesn't fail all at once. It wears down, and once it's gone the gelcoat is bare again. A rejuvenation service — decontamination wash plus a fresh topper over the existing coating — resets that, and it's the difference between getting a season and a half out of a coating versus several years.
We'll be straight with you though: even properly maintained, boat ceramics generally don't reach the lifespan the bottle advertises. Marine conditions are harder than the lab. Maintained, it lasts considerably longer than 12–18 months — but we're not going to promise five years and hope you forget.

Ceramic is a good product. Water sheets off. Washing gets easier. We sell it and we'll stand behind the job. What it will not do is stop a rock off I-15, trailer rash on the transom, or the UV that lives at 6,000 feet for five years.
Yacht Armor™ is a physical film — not a coating sitting on the gelcoat. It takes the hit, blocks UV, and heals its own scratches. Five to seven years. Transom starts at $900, which is less than a full ceramic on most boats we see. That's why we ask this before we sell you a coating.
Plenty of owners still do both: film on the transom and bow, ceramic on the rest. If you only have budget for one, film is the one that actually protects the parts that get wrecked.
Make, model, length, and roughly how rough it looks. Photos help.
Detailing is by the foot, so most quotes take one phone call.
Your driveway, storage unit, or the marina. We bring water and power.
You look at the boat first. Pay when you're happy with it.

"We had such a great experience with this company! He picked up our jet skis from our house, took them in, washed, waxed and shined them, and had them back in our yard within 5 hours. They look fantastic! He got every single water spot off."

Yes. Same wash, wax, and water-spot work as a small boat — and we can pick them up from your house and bring them back the same day when the schedule allows.
No, and we don't sell it as an upgrade. Graphene ceramic is still a ceramic coating with a small amount of graphene oxide added. That additive is not the Nobel-prize sheet people picture, and at those amounts it doesn't change how a boat handles Utah water. We use the same CCi ceramic on boats, cars, and RVs. If someone is quoting you graphene as a better marine product, ask what is actually in the bottle besides the word.
Usually, yes. If the minerals are sitting on the surface, a proper decontamination pulls them off. If they've been there long enough to etch into the gelcoat, that's correction work — it takes machine polishing, sometimes wet sanding. We'll tell you honestly which one your boat needs when we look at it.
Basic wash is a flat $125 any length. Wash and wax is $17/ft and a full detail including interior and trailer is $22/ft. On a 22-footer that's $125, $374, and $484. Oxidation removal is $30/ft light or $55/ft heavy. Full pricing by length →
Yes. Lund, Duckworth, Alumaweld, Smoker Craft — painted aluminum takes a different process than gelcoat, but it cleans up well and we do plenty of them.
In Utah, once at the start of the season and once before winter storage covers most boats. The pre-storage one matters more than people think — anything left on the hull sits there for six months under a cover, and oxidation doesn't take the winter off.
A detail cleans and protects for a few months. Ceramic coating covers the full exterior for 12–18 months from $1,530 and makes washing dramatically easier. Yacht Armor film is physical protection on specific panels for 5–7 years, from $900. Most owners start with a detail, add ceramic, and put film on the transom when they're ready.
Constantly — it's some of our busiest territory. Heber City and Midway sit right between Jordanelle and Deer Creek, so that's where a lot of Utah's boats actually live. We're up there regularly for detailing and ceramic coating, and we'll come to your driveway or your storage unit.
Wasatch County — Heber, Midway, Charleston, Park City. Plus all of Wasatch, Summit, Salt Lake, and Utah Counties: Lehi, Riverton, Eagle Mountain, Saratoga Springs, Sandy, Alpine, and Bluffdale. We regularly service boats headed to Jordanelle, Deer Creek, Utah Lake, Bear Lake, Pineview, and Powell.
Tell us the make, model, and length and we'll give you a real number. No pressure, no upsell you didn't ask for.
